Bridgette Fletcher
Assistant Director 

Bridgette Fletcher has danced for 24 years and has been teaching dance at a variety of studios in the St. Louis area for the last 10 years. She specializes in training jazz technique as well as choreographing contemporary and jazz dances.

Bridgette danced professionally for 3 years with Ashleyliane Dance Company, she performed in many ADC concerts and shows. She is currently on artistic staff at Movement Arts Center and is the Assistant Director of Dance Productions Unlimited.

Outside of dancing Bridgette graduated from University of Missouri St. Louis in 2016 with a degree in Biochemistry and Biotechnology but is currently working as an artist full time.

As a choreographer she encourages individuality in her students and helps them to find their own voice as an artist. She cannot wait to see where this season goes and couldn’t be happier to be a part of the DPU family.

Classes

Jr. Tap

A technique based class that focuses on using sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. This class will expand on a Dancer’s musicality with an emphasis on rhythm and timing. Dancers will learn Tap skills and how to integrate sounds with that of the music.

A movement based class that focuses on modern and “out of the box” thinking for stylistic purposes in movement. Dancers will learn organic movement, self-expression through artistry and improvisational skills.

Jr. Hip Hop

A movement based class that focuses on fun, energetic stylized dancing. Dancers will learn fundamentals of isolations, grooves and a wide variety of backgrounds of the style through progressions across the floor, combinations in center and freestyle skills. Age accommodations are 8-12 years old. Tennis Shoes are required for class!
