Hannah Romano
Artistic Staff  

Hannah Romano has been dancing since she was 2 years old. She is a DPU Alumni and has been teaching with DPU for 1 year.  She has taken every style of dance, but her favorites include jazz, contemporary and dance team technique. She has been teaching many styles to kids of all ages for the past 5 years.
She graduated from Missouri State University with a bachelors in Exercise & Movement Science and minor in Dance. She has performed in many showcases at Missouri State, as well as learning to properly choreograph & teach different styles of dance. In college, she helped lead, choreograph and participate in a student-run dance team. Hannah also choreographs for many High School Dance Teams in the St. Louis area.
Hannah works at STL Sitter, a Child Care Agency, during the day. She is currently in school to pursue her career as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at St. Louis College of Health Careers. She will graduate in December 2021 and plans to begin her career as a Pediatric OTA while teaching at DPU.

Classes

Jr. Hip Hop

A movement based class that focuses on fun, energetic stylized dancing. Dancers will learn fundamentals of isolations, grooves and a wide variety of backgrounds of the style through progressions across the floor, combinations in center and freestyle skills. Age accommodations are 8-12 years old. Tennis Shoes are required for class!

Adult Tap

A technique based class that focuses on using sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. This class will expand on a Dancer’s musicality with an emphasis on rhythm and timing. Dancers will learn Tap skills and how to integrate sounds with that of the music.
