Adaptive Dance

DPU is now offering an adaptive dance class to children with special needs. This will be a movement based class for children with developmental, physical or other disabilities. DPU strives to be an all inclusive studio and share the love of dance with students of all abilities. This class is designed for dancers ages 4 & up.  Our instructor, Ms. Hannah, is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) that provides therapy to children with special needs, specifically with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, developmental delay and emotional/behavioral disabilities. She has been working as a COTA for 2 years and teaching dance classes for 9 years. She is CPR and AED certified. She is excited to combine her two passions: helping children with disabilities and teaching dance.
